All children in grades K-12 that live in Rapides Parish are eligible to enter for FREE. Prizes and awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Places and Honorable Mention

All children in grades K-12 that live in Rapides Parish are eligible to enter for FREE. Prizes and awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Places and Honorable Mention in each of the competition categories: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12. A Viewer’s Choice Award will also be presented.
The Youth Art Month Competition Exhibition will be on display at the Alexandria Museum of Art, opening March 6, 2026.
Parents, guardians and/or caregivers may submit an entry on behalf of a student. Students 18 years and older can submit an entry on their own behalf. Teachers must obtain permission to enter on behalf of student.

- The 2026 Youth Art Month Competition Exhibition will be on display at the Alexandria Museum of Art March 6 – April 5, 2026.
- Deadline to Enter: Monday, January 31, 2026, midnight.
- Juror: Barbara Clover, Resident Artist at River Oaks
