Group Art Activity

AMoA welcomes tour groups of all ages and can accommodate special themes or team-building activities. All tours require reservations at least two weeks in advance and are available Tuesday - Friday.

There are several types of tours to meet your needs. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Self-Guided Group Tours

These tours are available for independent viewing for groups of less than 10. Regular admission rates apply. Self-guided tours are not available for field trips.

Guided Group Tours

Visual Thinking Strategies: For all ages but especially for K-12 students, VTS tours allow visitors to engage with art through group discussions that encourage participation, build self-confidence and improve critical thinking skills. Studies have shown that VTS bolsters skillsets that students transfer to other settings and other subjects, including writing, math, social studies, and science. Students are encouraged to formulate thoughtful responses based on their observations. For more information about VTS, contact Cindy@themuseum.org.

Visual Thinking Strategies PLUS Art Activity:  School groups may elect to participate in an art activity in the classroom or the galleries, following VTS.  VTS+Art tours last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Art activities cost $3 per student.

Curatorial Tour: For those seeking to connect with the artwork through historical perspectives, visitors are led through the galleries by the AMoA Curator for approximately 30-45 minutes.
