In celebration of our new exhibition She Persisted: Louisiana Women in Art, AMoA is hosting an evening screening LPB film segments documenting the life and work of artist Clyde Connell.
Screening includes the LPB Art Rocks (2019) featuring the life of North Louisiana artist Clyde Connell told by her great niece Talbot Hopkins and nephew in law, Robert Trudeau. The LPB Louisiana Legends video (1998) is an interview with the artist that includes themes in her artwork as well as highlighting her fight for civil rightsfrom 1998 at the age of 97, the year of her death.
Discussion will be led by AMoA Director and Curator Catherine McCrory Pears.
