AMoA Collectors Circle will be traveling to New York City this summer!
June 3-7, 2026

The main attraction of the trip is a new exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art titled Raphael: Sublime Poetry. This is the first comprehensive exhibition on Raphael in the United States, bringing together more than 200 of the artist’s greatest masterpieces and rarely seen treasures to illuminate the brilliance of Raphael’s extraordinary creativity - a once in a lifetime opportunity to view these masterpieces! Below is a tentative itinerary.
Please contact us at olivia@themuseum.org with questions and to reserve your spot! Space is limited so sign up today!

What is the Collectors Circle?

The Collectors Circle is a group of museum (maybe “art”) enthusiasts who want to be more involved in collecting, both as private citizens and as part of the museum. Anyone is able to join for a fee of $500 above your membership level. If you are under 40, you can join for just $250!

The money from the Collectors Circle is saved in an account dedicated for intentional acquisitions for the museum collection. The Alexandria Museum of Art does not (have funding dedicated) dedicate any other funds to adding to the collection - we rely on gifts and donations to add to our permanent collection - so the Collectors Circle is the only way to add to the collection in a meaningful and strategic way. As a member of the Circle, your voice will be heard when it comes time to purchase new works of art to be added to AMoA's collection. Below, you can see some of the pieces past Collectors Circle members have approved for purchase with their funds!

In addition to helping the museum further its collecting goals, Collectors Circle members get access to exclusive programming, including

  • Collecting focused presentations from museum staff and visiting scholars
  • Artist studio visits, behind the scenes tours, and special presentations
  • Planned trips to artistically rich areas featuring unique art experiences
  • Examples of trips/Excursions (Catherine to provide)
