(and black 41), Bernhardt collection label with green sticker 3-1 EXHIBITIONS: Mississippi Art Association, Inc., October, 1964; Paintings and Construction by Ruth Atkinson Holmes, October 19- November 19, 1969, Louisiana State University at Alexandria; American Art in Louisiana Private Collections 1870- 1970, Riverside Museum, Baton Rouge, LA, February 2- March 31, 1985 (later rescheduled opening to March 1 due to hazardous weather conditions) ACQUISITION COST, DATE AND SOURCE: $300 purchase by Thilo Steinschulte from Mississippi Art Association, Inc., October 1964. APPRAISED VALUE SUPPORT: Artist was in Mississippi Arts Colony as female abstract artist in the 1960’s. No secondary values found but exhibition history and her recent inclusion in Ogden Museum exhibit give her work significance and value over and above estate sale values.
