Treasured Gifts: Recent Acquisitions to the Permanent Collection
This exhibition features a sampling of acquisitions to the permanent collection in the past few years. The museum regularly accepts donations of works of art in all media that highlights artists from the 20th and 21st century from or worked in Louisiana and the South, as well as artists who have been influenced by or influenced art in the South. Treasured Gifts includes works donated from the Department of Culture and Tourism of the State of Louisiana, as well as from generous individual donors. Donations like these are important as AMoA works to install its permanent collection exhibition in 2017.
