The 33rd September Competition is an annual juried exhibition highlighting the work of contemporary artists in all media and styles created within the past two years. 50 artworks selected from over 450 international submissions are included in the exhibition and awards will be presented by juror Kristen Miller Zohn during the virtual opening. Aboout the Juror
Kristen Miller Zohn serves as Curator of Collections and Exhibitions for the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art in Laurel, Mississippi and is also the Executive Director of the Costume Society of America, an organization dedicated to advancing the global understanding of all aspects of dress and appearance. Additionally, she is a contributing author for American Art in the Columbus Museum: Painting, Sculpture and Decorative Arts and to The New Encyclopedia of Southern Culture, Vol. 21, Art and Architecture, and she has published articles about Jane Austen and the visual arts in Persuasions, the journal of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Ms. Miller Zohn is a frequent lecturer on portraiture and decorative arts of the nineteenth century and is a past president and active member of the Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC).
