Drop-In Art Classes - for the busy, budding artist!
Drop-in means there is no pre-registration for this new on-going adult art education series. Classes are designed for any and all skill levels seeking a relaxed creative environment. This on-going series for adults offers instruction, experience with other dry mediums, constructive critique, and inspiration from exhibitions and the permanent collection.
- Classes meet on the first Tuesday of every month, 5:45-7:00 in the AMoA classroom.
- FREE for AMoA Members ~ $10 per class for non-members
- CLASSES ARE LIMITED TO 20! First come, first served!
Drop-In Art Classes will conduct a rotation of mediums to provide a well-rounded art experience, designed for the beginner, intermediate and advanced students.

Learn to dry point etch like the Rembrandt etchings in our current exhibition Sordid & Sacred: The Beggers in Rembrandt's Etchings with Louisiana Artist Amanda Roe.
This dry point etching printmaking class is a quick and easy introduction to traditional printmaking like the master artists, such as Rembrandt. In the class, you will learn how to create marks onto the surface using crosshatching to build up value and create a unique style to create your own series of prints. Anyone can learn and experience this practice even if they are just starting out to already knowing the technique and simply want to brush up on their skills.
$35 for members; $50 for non-members
