The Alexandria Museum of Art staff and Board of Managers are proud to present the 24th September Competition, an exhibit of contemporary artists from across the nation. This exhibit has graced our galleries since 1982, with a five year hiatus during construction of our present facility, and was reinstated in 2005. Standards have always been high, as local, regional, national, and somtimes international artists are juried in to exhibit.
We offer thanks to this year's juror, Keith Perelli, who selected 50 pieces to exhibit from the 190 entries received and to all of the artists who submitted their works.
